Project Management Office
Our Project Management Office (PMO) program includes training in: project management tools and techniques, program and project support office essentials, business analysis, MS Project, as well as SQL, data manipulation and presentation using MS Excel. Through theoretical and practical methods, we will strengthen your technical knowledge, build your skill-set and enhance your commercial awareness, over approximately a 10-week period.
The Career
On completion of your PMO training you will be employed by FDM as a PMO Consultant, and spend two years working with our clients; some of the most prestigious organizations in the world.
IT Project Management involves the planning, management and execution of various technical endeavors, in order to meet the client’s exact needs.
Project Management Office (PMO) is the heart of the delivery organization. As a Project Analyst you will be totally absorbed within the project life cycle, from project planning, to project scheduling, to risk analysis and project tracking. Utilizing industry processes and tools, you will ensure consistent management by overseeing the project portfolio and communicating with each customer to ensure project delivery. Working in the Project Management office offers a fantastic opportunity to be recognized professionally and gain exposure and experience in different areas of the business. Although many work towards becoming Project Managers, this career path also offers the opportunity to move more into a Business Analyst role.
As an FDM Project Analyst, you can expect to work on various assignments with one or more of FDM’s clients. As a representative of FDM, client satisfaction should be your highest priority.
Becoming an FDM Project Analyst
The Project Management profession requires you to be organized, analytical and methodical. It is important to understand the importance of teamwork, possess strong communication skills, and be a confident decision maker.
Preferably you will hold a degree in an IT, Business or Management discipline. Previous experience in a technical or business environment is desirable.
Above all, you must be enthusiastic, willing to learn and have a ‘can-do’ attitude.
