The Challenge

A number of Betfair hiring managers were dissatisfied with the service provided by their two IT contractor suppliers. They were tired of being supplied with large numbers of candidates who were of a very poor standard, with little relevant skills and experience, whilst paying extortionate daily rates.

The Solution

FDM was able to quickly understand the hiring managers’ needs and effectively suggested a mix of experienced contractors and FDM Consultants.  This solution provided Betfair with the flexibility they were after whilst keeping costs down and also brought new IT talent into the business, which would reduce Betfair’s reliance on expensive contractors in the future.

The FDM business model has proven to be very successful in providing Betfair with a cost effective, flexible and benefit rich complement to the permanent and contractor resource models they use.
