Infrastructure Support

Look after the technical infrastructure of large organisations

Infrastructure involves the physical hardware used to interconnect computers and users, and is designed to manage the business processes and information that are vital to running a successful business operation. A robust infrastructure is key to organisational success. A weak infrastructure goes hand in hand with risks and ultimately failure. Our popular new Infrastructure initiative will catapult your IT career, equipping you with a broad range of technical and theoretical skills, enabling you to become a successful Infrastructure Analyst.

FDM’s Infrastructure Analysis Course

Our Infrastructure course includes training in Wintel & Active Directory, VMware, Networking and Protocols, Messaging & Collaboration, Solaris Administration and Troubleshooting, Security & Storage as well as our existing core modules in SQL, UNIX and ITIL Service Management. Within these modules you will develop your knowledge and learn new skills though a combination of theoretical and practical methods.

Become an FDM Infrastructure Support Analyst

Preferably you will have a degree in Computing (combined also considered), Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics or a related discipline.

Alternatively you may have worked in the industry and undertaken recognised certifications and accreditations, such as: Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE), Cisco Certified Network Administrator (CCNA) or an A+.

Either way you will be eager to pursue a career in Network Management and possess a passion for IT. You must be able to demonstrate technical, theoretical and hands-on IT skills.

The Career

You will become a consultant within our unique Infrastructure service undertaking varied roles ranging from Infrastructure support on client sites to being part of, or even leading, fully managed technical projects. As an FDM Infrastructure Analyst you will support, bolster and improve the existing Infrastructure arrangements of our clients.

Once you have undertaken the programme you will have the competence and proficiency to undertake:

  • System upgrades & refreshes
  • Server consolidations
  • Migrations
  • Technical projects
