The FDM Academy Programme was formed to meet the needs of large corporations who require people with the right skills and work ethic, and can make a contribution from day one. Over the past 20 years FDM has grown tremendously and is now the largest IT graduate employer in the UK, boasting an award-winning, flagship IT training methodology, responsible for launching the careers of over 2,500 IT enthusiasts.

FDM has devised a solution to the classic catch-22 scenario; you need experience to get a job, but you cannot get a job without experience. Our Academy training also addresses both of the key criticisms from IT leaders on those entering the IT industry; that they are either not educated in, or don’t know how to apply, commercially relevant technical skills, and lack business awareness.

A winning approach

Our approach works because we bring people and technology together in the most effective way, and know what our clients are looking for in terms of fresh talent. The Academy Programme is designed to prepare you for this over a twelve week period (approximately); developing your technical abilities for the workplace, improving your soft skills and ensuring you know what to expect, and are able to deliver on what the client will expect from you.

Working with our clients you will gain valuable experience as an FDM IT Consultant. Many of our consultants are shocked to find themselves working for prestigious international companies during their first year, which without FDM, they may never have had the opportunity.
