Suitability
The FDM Academy Programme provides fast-track entry into high-profile IT careers. We only take on those who have a strong aptitude in IT, the desire and ambition to succeed, and can demonstrate a willingness to learn. In addition, a number of individuals will be given the opportunity to embark on the Master Class Programme, which involves a fully funded MSc in Applied Computer Science. Due to the nature of our business model and the minimum time commitment we require for each programme, other terms and conditions apply.
Before applying to join the Academy Programme, please make sure you meet the following criteria:
- Over 18 years of age
- Eligible to work in the UK and EU, or in the USA
- Able to commit for a minimum of two years after the training is completed
- Able to support yourself financially during the 12-week (approx) full-time training period
- Be completely geographically flexible (within the country you are based)
- Have some knowledge/experience in IT
- Have excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Have a basic understanding of the IT industry
- Demonstrate a passion for IT
Please note: The Master Class Programme will involve a three year commitment and requires candidates to have a 2:1 degree or above (or have equivalent work experience).
VISAs
You should be eligible to work and remain in the UK, EU or USA. Due to the nature of the programme and business requirements, there may be further restrictions. Please contact one of our Academy Consultants to discuss this further.

This is a 3 or 4 year commitment in total, based on the initial training phase and the 2 or 3 years commitment as an employee, in order to cover the training fees.
Hong Kong
Applicants will be ideally a Hong Kong national or have the right of abode or the right to land in Hong Kong.
Applicants must speak Cantonese and fluent English.
NOTE – We are unable to provide individual feedback to unsuccessful applicants, but you may be able to pinpoint where you did not meet our criteria from the list above. We strongly recommend you read through the list and check where you did not previously meet the criteria, and whether this can be resolved. You are able to reapply after a 3-month period.
