WHERE ARE YOU HEADED?
Within three months you could find yourself working:
- in a web development team with a major brand;
- as a junior C# developer within a financial environment;
- as a Java developer writing code to manipulate data within a client’s database;
- as a support analyst in the equities trading division of a major bank.
The FDM Academy approach of linking training to employment was originally based on an airline pilot model, which recognised that success depended on high quality mentorship and experience.
That was 20 years ago. Today, although the content and delivery of our training has changed beyond recognition, the basic principle still applies: employers want consultants who can make a contribution from day one. FDM’s rigorous training and ongoing support ensures that FDM Mounties have the skills employers need.
The benefits for you
As an FDM Mountie, you have the best of both worlds. After your training, FDM finds you an assignment, usually working on challenging projects in some of the world’s leading companies. While you get to apply your new skills immediately in a real corporate environment, you also have FDM looking after your interests and providing the support you need. At the end of two years, your FDM Mountie training and work experience makes you a highly employable IT consultant and you could either continue with FDM as a senior technical consultant, or pursue a career elsewhere, armed with an enviable CV.
